Nike and Your Privacy

When it comes to dealing with companies online, especially when conducting business, one should read that sites Privacy Policy. For Nike's Policy, they outline all major concerns consumers have when doing online business. They cover all bases starting with the information you give them and what they plan to do with that information. Nike does have devices that have GPS technology and Nike does say that they collect that information and share it within the "Nike Family" and use it to better market to that person. This allows Nike to market on a more personal level but they do give the user the option to opt out of that service. When making purchases through Nike they do use a third party some of the time, in which they let the buyer know, which to me is not a very safe thing as we do not read the policy of that third party. Nike does offer support for any concerns that customers can reach out to via phone or by email for any concerns you may have with doing business with N...

Nike's Online site and mobile app

When scrolling through Nike's website it is very simple and there are links for the items that they have displayed on the page. When clicking on the item you see on the home screen it takes you directly to the shopping page where you can purchase that item. It also separates for gender, kids and gives you the option to customize. I have used the Nike custom before, and this was a decade ago, and it was very simple to use. They had a bunch of different designs and colors to choose from and even allows you to embroider it. When it comes to having the mobile app. They did not try to cram everything into one app, instead they have four separate apps that allow you to choose what you use most or you can have them all. They have one for the shopping, Nike + running, Nike + FuelBand and Nike training club which gives you personal workouts that you can complete at home. Nike is keeping up with the current world and trends which is all about convenience and moving fast. By linking up w...

Ads Online following the IBA guidelines

Searching the web for different sites finding ads posting on them takes some time and patience. Once you find these ads you have to compare them to IAB guidelines and make sure that they are within those guidelines or there could be a fine to that company. The IAB is the Interactive Advertising Bureau that develop and provide legal support to those affected by advertisement. I use Pandora a lot, both on my phone and on my computer. The ads that pop up on them different, on my phone there are a lot of downloadable apps that pop up for ads and on the computer it is mainly sights to purchase various items. Both fall with in the guidelines of the IAB as on the computer the ads are vertical and are withing the dimensions the IAB has on vertical ads. For the phone it is subload as the ad initiates its own music without me interacting with it. While going to my Yahoo account a few different times in the past few days the ads have all been initial load where they load with the page. Most of th...

Searching for Nike

Nike uses TLD's in their domain. this what takes place after the dot, .com, .net, .org etc... By Nike doing this it allows many users to easily remember their domain. Also when searching through a search engine such as Google or Bing they can easily locate the Nike website and is normally the first option to choose in the search results. This seems to be very effective for them as it makes it very easy for customers to find their webpage. Their isn't anything I would change with this as Nike speaks for itself and customers can navigate to their website with simplicity. Nike is followed by over 20 million people on social media. By taking a step back from the more traditional commercial and taking a bigger swing on social media I believe that Nike is optimizing their sales and profit by targeting more people through social media.

Online Mareting

Nike has been at the forefront of the shoe industry for as long as I can remember. Nike continues to evolve and expand as the current market expands as well. They have become great when it comes to internet marketing and staying relevant with today’s culture. Most people would prefer to shop from the comfort of their home and Nike.com allows customers to do that with ease. The website is very easy to navigate through and they do a decent job with emailing customers with upcoming promos or soon to be released items. One thing I think they could do better is to make the experience more personal for the customer. Maybe once a item is bought online through their website they could send an email saying thank you John Doe for purchasing Nike product. Connecting on a personal level with customers shows that company cares for their business and appreciates it. The CAN-SPAM act does not influence Nike as their emails are not redundant nor do they false advertise when sending emails out. ...

Nike Business

Nike's business model is to stay diverse and to work as one team. They also focus on these three things: Core activities like design, development, and marketing Outsourcing of non-core activities like manufacturing to contract manufacturers Building a truly global brand  By staying diverse they are having input from many different ethnic groups and many different cultures. I believe by Nike doing this they have created a great platform that has proven itself to be very profitable. By being diverse they do not get to bias and only focus on specific culture which is why Nike has many different types of apparel and gear to choose from. They are able to save money by outsourcing the manufacturing to sub contractors. Yes, there main focus is for athletes, but they also like to stay in fashion so they do try to appeal to the fashion as well. By sponsoring many Olympic athletes Nike is able to build their brand globally and continue the rise of their athletic empire! Nike stays on t...

Power of Nike

Nike is the biggest name when it comes to sports. They recently announced that they will be adding the worlds most popular athlete to their name which is  Cristiano Ronaldo. With that they will now start to take over the soccer world as the number one cleat sold as there are many young players who idolize this once in a life time Soccer Player. They also recently were able to get tennis champ Sloan Stephens to sign with them, taking her away from Under Armor. With these two athletes added to an already impressive line up of athletes, will help raise Nike value for it's customers as they can now say they were the same shoes as their favorite athletes do. Nike is also giving back to the community by holding events around the world for children athletes and giving them free life and sport coaching. Wherever you look, you will see a person wearing the brand Nike as they have become a world wide brand in all apparel. When integrating technology off line, Nike has an app that c...
